On Saturday night the St. Linus family gathered to show our appreciation to : Donna McIntosh Jane Higginson,Lisa Giallonardo Laura McLarnon, for all their years of service to Saint Linus Parish Community. The night started with a wonderful Mass of Appreciation, then a reception after the mass in the lower church. The organizing group would like to thank everyone for attending, the generous donations and the numerous volunteers. The event was a huge succerss and a wonderful tribute. The night confirmed that there is a special feeling in our community and we as a collective group make the parish!!
A reminder that Religious Education Registration is ongoing until September 15! Our classes are open to all children and teens in St. Linus Parish and St. Patrick Parish. ***Schedule for Grades 6-10***
As we begin our journey as the St. Patrick/St. Linus collaborative community, we continually are looking for feedback to provide the best religious education experience for your child(ren). As a result of such feedback, we have opted to change the times and offerings of our religious education classes for grades 6-10. Grades 6-8 will now meet twice a month on Wednesday evenings from 6-7:15 at St. Linus Parish. Grades 9 and 10 will meet once a month from 5:30-8:15 at St. Patrick's (on different weeks). These changes have been in response to numerous conversations with families about their particular religious education needs. We hope that this model will be beneficial to our families and best serve the collective needs of our community. More specifics will be distributed in the coming weeks.
Registration forms for the 2014-2015 Religious Ed Year are now available. You can register by submitting a form (available in the information area of both churches or by downloading a registration form online at either parish’s website: www.stpatsnatick.org or www.saintlinusnatick.com ). All registration forms should be mailed to St. Patrick Rectory, 44 East Central Street, Natick, MA 01760 Attn: Religious Education. At this time we are suspending direct online registration as we are in the process of redesigning our Natick Collaborative Parish Website and census program.
Please note that, due to our new evolving collaborative format, we will not be able to offer our optional Kindergarten Program this year. Religious Ed classes will run from Grades 1-10.
We truly appreciate your support and patience as we work together to make our new collaborative religious education program a wonderful and prayerful experience for all of our children and teens. May the Holy Spirit be with us as we embark on this journey, together in faith! Please contact Jennifer (Grades 1-5, firstname.lastname@example.org ) or Mike (Grades 6-10, email@example.com ) with any questions.
